L'unità di Bioinformatica supporta la ricerca, offrendo assistenza nell'analisi dei dati e nella statistica. Utilizzando approcci di biologia di sistemi, questa unità permette di tradurre i dati di ricerca in risultati visibili e comprensibili. Inoltre, questa unità collabora strettamente con l’unità di NGS in quanto utilizza approcci tecnici simili, insieme ad altri approcci all'avanguardia come l'analisi proteomica e genomica. L’importo “Totale Fondi” indicato per questo progetto rappresenta la quota del finanziamento di Fondazione Telethon alla ricerca dell’istituto Tigem da luglio 2016 fino all’ultimo anno di bilancio, calcolata in base alle dimensioni del gruppo di ricerca.
